April 11, 2009 - New Breed Fighters Results
This was a HUGE, GREAT night for the Renzo Gracie Pa Academy, Team Renzo Gracie Pa MMA Fighters, Fans, Coaches and Corners!
Our first fight of the night was Ryan Derstine vs Jermain Winborn... Ryan dropped to a lighter weight class for this fight and entered the cage strong, ready and determined to win at 158.1 lbs. It was in round one Team Renzo Gracie Pa. Ryan Derstine who continues to improve his fight game as he defeated Jermain Winborn, Tak Wah Kung Fu, via rear naked choke 2:00 into round 1
One of our first Title fights was a tough battle but the New Breed Fighters Super Lightweight title went to Team Renzo Gracie Pa fighter Jeremy Pompei… Jeremy proved more fierce & victorious over Evan Chmielski, of X-treme Miletich and submitted Evan at 1:54 into round 3 with a Kimura.
Our 2nd Title fights was tough battle as well but the New Breed Fighters Super Middleweight title went to Team Renzo Gracie Pa fighter James Vanderbeek after he KO Tom Phillipi of Team Balance at 0:33 of round 3. Tom Phillipi came in with a game plan but he needed more than his game plan to defeat James Vanderbeek's perfect athletic ability, power and freakish conditioning as Tom found out at 0:33 of round 3.
11/26/08 - Team Renzo Gracie Pa Amateur MMA Fighters, James Vanderbeek, Jeremy Pompei, & Mike Padilla brought the house down with the most exciting & action pack fights of the night in AC's HOB / New Breed Fighters on 11/26/08. These Victorious Fierce Fighters showed impressive skill as they dominated, controlled and destroyed their opponents… Team Renzo Gracie Pa finishes the year with 3 more big wins. Great job!

11/24/08 - Our Legendary Professor, Master Renzo Gracie, awarded Rich Latta with his Black Belt today while Rich was training at Renzo's NY academy!

After winning The wrestle off for the Pan Ams on Sunday September 21st, Greg Mikeovich, Jason Frawley, Pete Shoemaker, Sean Fisher, Mike Padilla and Omar Cruickshank will be representing Renzo at the PAN-AMs on Team Renzo Gracie "A" Team... Great job guys and good luck at the PAN-AMs!
